A profile of IPE at Canadian post-secondary institutions: Educator experiences with Dr. Kelsey Harvey

December 4, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am UTC+0

“A profile of IPE at Canadian post-secondary institutions: Educator experiences”
with Dr. Kelsey Harvey

Session description:
Join us as we share results from a multi-method study on educator and placement supervisor perspectives on the value of Interprofessional Education (IPE) in Canada. We identified 102 Canadian post-secondary institutions that offer some form of IPE to 67 areas of study. In this talk, we will share the three threats to the sustainability of IPE we identified in our analysis, as well as the important role frameworks, like the CIHC competency framework, play in sustaining IPE. We conclude with a forward-looking discussion on strengthening collaboration between higher education and health and social service sectors in an effort to address these threats.
